Insurance Coverage FAQ

1. Do I have coverage for an infertility consultation with one of your physicians? Most insurance carriers will cover an initial consult with an infertility specialist. The majority of the time it is only a specialist co-payment.

2. Will my BCBS- NC plan cover any treatment such as Artificial Insemination and In vitro fertilization? No, the majority of NC plans follow the guidelines set by the state and provide you with coverage for testing and basic treatment only.

3. What type of insurance do you accept? We accept BCBS, Cigna, United Health Care, Aetna and Medcost.

4. Who can help me understand my infertility insurance coverage? You can always review your benefits booklet provided by your employer for details on infertility or contact your insurance member services.

5. When choosing my insurance carrier is one company better than another? Most policies are designed by your Human Resources Department and the carrier only serves as the administrator. The policy will only differ with your out of pocket cost.

6. Will we meet with a financial person before beginning treatment? Prior to any treatment you will meet with a financial coordinator to review your individual benefits. We are always available for individual questions at any point.

7. Do you offer payment plans? We do not offer any payment plans however, we will provide you with information on medical loan companies that can assist you.

8. Do you offer discounts for IVF? We offer a 10% discount for self pay patients, and a reduced rate for service workers as well as tubal reversal patients.
