Meet Our Team
Dr. Bill Meyer
Dr. Meyer attended Washington and Lee University and received his M.D from the University of Virginia in 1983. He completed an OB/GYN residency at Emory University, then went to Yale University where he completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is board certified/recertified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He has been a board examiner for those sitting for their OB/GYN certification. He has been voted, by his peers, as one of the “Best Doctors in America” from 2003-2009. He served for several years on the credentialing committee of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART)-the only national standard database for reproductive medicine practitioners.
Before co-founding Carolina Conceptions in 2006, he served as clinical director of the University of North Carolina’s IVF Program. He was on Faculty at UNC for 13 years. He founded and headed the UNC Assisted Reproductive Technologies Ethics Committee. He has a special interest and clinical expertise in: in vitro fertilization (IVF), ovulation induction, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and hysteroscopy.
Dr. Meyer has 3 sons in college and his wife is a pediatric oncology nurse at UNC-Chapel Hill. He plays tennis and is involved with Master’s swimming.
