Their recommendations were really clear and precise. If I need to consult again I would definitely come back.

I would love to share this miracle again with another loving family. They answer all your questions and make sure you are completely comfortable during the whole process. Keep up the amazing work you guys and gals do!
Their staff was very welcoming and encouraging to us whenever we had almost run out of hope. Carolina Conceptions was always a phone call away if we had questions and we always felt we had support. Thank you so much for giving us our precious little boy.

I’m sitting here typing up my testimonial with one of my beautiful 5 week old twin baby girls snuggled on my chest. Which would not have been possible without the wonderful Dr’s and Staff of Carolina Conceptions!! We had a long journey of infertility after the birth of our son in 2004. I had many procedures with a great local Dr with no luck. It was discovered we were also dealing with male factor infertility as well as my issues. While we knew we were blessed with our wonderful son, many tears were shed over the fact that I couldn’t give him the sibling he really wanted. When we were informed that we had reached the end of the treatment that Dr could do, he recommended IVF and Carolina Conceptions. In 2011, on my birthday, Dr Couchman actually came to my Drs office to do consults and we met for the first time. I was excited with this chance and couldn’t wait to begin. My husband and I soon drove to the practice and began our first IVF cycle, The staff there was great and answered all my questions. Sadly, the first IVF ended in me not responding very well and it was cancelled. Dr Couchman called me herself to tell me the news. I was crushed. We took a break and in the summer of 2012 we decided to try again before I turned 40 (I was 38) and we lost our infertility coverage. Dr Couchman was confident about stepping up the meds and the whole procedure was perfectly timed around a week that I had off in the fall She did my retrieval and Dr Park did the transfer. It was all perfect down to the beta and first u/s announcing 2 little flickers. And on July 2nd at 37 weeks our perfect little girls arrived; beautiful and healthy!! Our family is whole now and we owe it all to Carolina Conceptions!!! Without their help, our dreams would not have come true. I would recommend them to anyone dealing with infertility! Never lose hope; it can happen for you as well!!
A & K, Wilmington, NC
Thanks to them, I am currently pregnant with my first child!!! They are the best doctors office I have EVER stepped foot in. Everyone is very pleasant and high spirited! All questions and concerns were answered without delay. They make you comfortable and they really care. They truly impressed me when I had almost given up hope. Thank you Carolina Conceptions for making our dream a reality. I would recommend you to everyone.

Dr. Meyer completed a surgery in March 2012 and we became pregnant on our own in October 2012. Our experience at Carolina Conceptions was the best medical treatment we have ever experienced. The doctors, nurses, and office staff were attentive and caring. We were treated as individuals and never felt pressured to complete any procedures. They worked with us medically, financially, and personally.

L & J, Raleigh, NC: I don't know that there are words to describe how my husband and I feel about our experience at Carolina Conceptions.
After several failed IUIs and a couple of failed IVF cycles at another clinic, we transferred care feeling like we were running out of hope. Thankfully, Dr. Park was able to create a unique protocol tailored to my needs, and we are now patiently awaiting the arrival of our baby girl in October.
The thing about Carolina Conceptions is that it really is a place of hope. The waiting room isn’t filled with the sense of dread that you find at other clinics. Not only are the physicians extremely skilled at their craft, but everyone from the front desk staff, to the financial counselors, to the nurses, CNAs, and embryologists are rooting for you. They aren’t just invested in your success as a number to make their stats better, they really want success for you. There is such a sense of teamwork and community in the office and you receive nothing but the most compassionate care. We count not be more grateful to everyone at Carolina Conceptions for helping us build a family.
L & J, Raleigh, NC
In 2007 we were referred to Carolina Conceptions by my OB/GYN. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility so Dr. Couchman suggested we try IUI. We did our first round of IUI and found out that we were pregnant. It ended in what most would call a chemical pregnancy, but either way, it was still devastating. We decided to take some time off and in 2008 we tried IUI again. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. Physically we were worn out, so we took two years off from trying. In 2010, we decided to do one more IUI and we thought that it had failed again. One day I woke up in horrible pain and had my husband take me to the ER. We found out we were pregnant with twins but one was in my left tube and one was in my right tube. They both had heartbeats but my tubes were about to rupture so they had to go in and do emergency surgery. They took out both my tubes so the only way we could get pregnant now was through IVF. We did our egg retrieval in 2011 and they retrieved 5 eggs; 4 where mature and 2 fertilized. The day of transfer came and everything went great. The hardest part was the two week wait. After two weeks, we found out we were PREGNANT!!!!!!!!! We were so excited. The ultrasound day finally came and we saw one tiny beam with the flicker of the heartbeat; that was one of the best days of our lives. We are currently 10 wks pregnant and last week we had our first OB appointment and were able to hear the heartbeat.
Without Dr. Couchman, Dr. Meyer and Dr. Park this wouldn’t be possible. We are so grateful for everything they have done for us to make our dream of becoming parents come true. All of the staff at Carolina Conceptions was rooting for us and its feels good when they were just as happy for you as you are for yourself. Thank you again for everything. I tell anyone who is dealing with infertility to go to Carolina Conceptions, because they were our blessing in disguise. We are now going to be parents for the first time. We enjoyed our journey, and you never know, maybe we will do it again one day. Thank you again.

C & C, Mebane, NC: We had a wonderful experience at Carolina Conceptions (CC) and are expecting our first baby in January!
Having transferred from another fertility clinic that we were not pleased with…we were not sure what to expect. From Day 1…we had nothing but positive experiences at Carolina Conceptions. From the friendly front desk staff (that greets you when you walk in and remember you by name at each visit), the doctors (of which we saw all 3 at some point in our journey and all were great), the MAs (who always made us feel comfortable when it is certainly not the most comfortable situation), and the ultrasound techs (who took the time to show and explain to us exactly what we were looking at) we have nothing but the best of things to say about CC.
You begin to feel like the employees are family/friends rather than just employees at your doctors office. They are all a huge part of the process. They are happy for you and celebrate with you when there is good news and they will cry with and support you when there is not so good news. There really are not enough words to describe how positive our experience was at CC.
Carolina Conceptions also offers a discount for Service Workers. My husband is a firefighter so therefore we qualified. Our insurance does not cover fertility treatment so all expenses were out of pocket. This discount for service workers made it possible for us to be able to do IVF which is finally how we conceived the little miracle that we are expecting.
C & C, Mebane, NC
A & A, Youngsville, NC: After going off of birth control it was determined after medication and blood work that I was not ovulating, so I was sent to Carolina Conceptions.
I felt comfortable from the first visit with Dr. Park. We discussed all of our options and started with step one, medications. After many trials and ultrasounds we determined that the medicine was not an option anymore, so we went onto injections. We were trained on how to inject, etc… The injections turned out not to be successful as well. Through this whole process I never gave up, I knew I would eventually be able to get pregnant. We just had to figure out what my body needed. Our final option was to do surgery and then it worked!!!!!!!! The first month of trying to get pregnant after I was healed from the surgery, I got pregnant!!!!!! My husband and I have a wonderful son who is now almost a year old!!! I would highly recommend any doctor from Carolina Conceptions. Thank you for making our dreams come true!!!

J & D, Cary, NC: Carolina Conceptions operates at a level which all medical practices should strive to emulate.
I truly can’t say enough nice things about them. From the front desk staff, the lab staff, the nurses and the doctors everyone is warm and welcoming. I can honestly say we’ve never had a bad experience. Thanks to Carolina Conceptions we now have a darling 1 year old and we are pregnant with our second child. In both instances we had a successful pregnancy on the first attempt. We can thank the expertise of Carolina Conceptions. We are so incredibly grateful to them for our growing family.
J & D, Cary, NC
LC, Oxford, NC: As I played with our 2-year-old twins today, my thoughts turned to the year we spent with Carolina Conceptions, never knowing that the blessing we received from them would be twofold.
Dr. Park and his staff were so kind and supportive, we never even considered giving up. Although I was 41 (within 3 weeks of 42) when they were born, we were never discouraged from trying to make our dream a reality. Somehow, the doctors and staff at CC have learned to walk the fine line between giving false hope and crushing dreams without ever venturing into either territory, Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Carolina Conceptions for our daughter, our son, our miracles.
LC, Oxford, NC
C & C, Youngsville, NC: All three of the doctors and nurses were so approachable and easy to talk to about whatever I needed or wanted to ask.
I just wanted to say thank you and your office staff for helping me and my family be able to have our daughter in our lives. It took us 11 long months at Carolina Conceptions, but when I look at that beautiful baby, I know it was all worth it. Your staff is so friendly and inviting, even when I was having an off day and just down in my dumps about trying to conceive, they were always so nice and warm. All three of the doctors and nurses were so approachable and easy to talk to about whatever I needed or wanted to ask. My husband also agrees that it was very easy to go into your office and we felt like it was going to happen, even on the dark days. My family and I will always be in debt to you and appreciate you ALL for giving us the opportunity to spend wonderful moments with our beautiful girl. Thanks so much.

EC, Raleigh, NC: I have been going to Carolina Conceptions for about a year now and I am happy to say that, last week, I graduated.
Through 4 unsuccessful IUIs and a successful IVF (with just 1 embryo by choice, I might add), Dr. Meyer, Dr. Park, and all of the nurses and staff have been so patient and caring. I am so thankful for this practice and all of them. I would recommend their services to anyone.
EC, Raleigh, NC
L & R, Clayton, NC: I cannot stop talking about this practice to my friends and family. They truly know what HOPE really means.
We are so grateful to the doctors and staff at Carolina Conceptions for giving us a miracle we never thought would happen; (a baby boy!) Everyone at that office was so nice and very understanding of what my husband and I were going through. We began working with Dr. Meyer in mid-January and after three rounds of injectables, we didn’t seem so lucky. We could not afford to do IVF, so we were then thinking of other options elsewhere. When Dr. Meyer found out I was willing to get a 2nd opinion, he assured me that they were willing to do what it took to get us pregnant. He wanted us to look into doing IVF. I let him know that was something we just could not afford. He advised me if we went through with it he will try his very best to at least help us with the medications. Well my husband and I considered it and decided to give it one last try. We applied for a loan that Carolina Conceptions referred us to and got approved. We could only afford 1 fresh cycle, which basically meant one try and that’s it. I was so nervous to go through with it all, Dr. Meyer and staff made me feel so comfortable. Anytime I had questions they all were always available, by phone or via email.
After the whole IVF process, it was a HUGE success!!!! I will never forget the day Kim called me to tell me I was pregnant!!!! I started crying on the phone and she started crying too! Happiest day of our lives!!
I am so grateful for the patience and care of each and every provider I saw at the clinic from the doctors to the nurses, lab technicians and front desk staff. They all were completely dedicated to making sure you got what you came for a baby! I cannot stop talking about this practice to my friends and family. They truly know what HOPE really means. Thank you so much Carolina Conceptions!! We just introduced our baby boy to the world on Dec 21 2012

JK, Raleigh, NC: We are looking forward to our upcoming IVF cycle and being at a healthy weight for our treatment.
We met with Dr. Meyer to talk about fertility treatment options and we were told that my weight could be contributing to my infertility. He referred me to the Pure Proactive Program. I started phase 1 of the program and to date I have lost a total of 18 pounds! I am now on phase 2 of the program and hope to be at the goal weight we discussed by the end of February. I would like to thank Dr. Meyer for providing me the information for this program. I’m so pleased with the results and I have learned so much about organic foods and healthy cooking! We are looking forward to our upcoming IVF cycle and being at a healthy weight for our treatment.

J & P, Angier, NC: We are so happy and excited for what the future holds for us and our new addition! Thank you so much!
We wanted to say thank you so much , Dr. Park, for everything you’ve done for us this past year. We went into this completely unaware of anything and you and your staff were very patient and understanding with us and our many questions, emails and phone calls. We are sincerely grateful and appreciative of how you and your staff change people’s lives on a daily basis. We are so happy and excited for what the future holds for us and our new addition! Thank you so much!

J & K, Raleigh, NC: It's even better that we can look at the website and see the 3 main doctors are the ones that we worked with directly during the different stages of procedure.
I wanted to say that we had an excellent experience with everyone at Carolina Conceptions. We now have a wonderful 6 month old daughter and she is so beautiful and precious. Everything from flexible appointment scheduling (to avoid the awkward employer conversation) to the financing, it was really great. It’s even better that we can look at the website and see the 3 main doctors are the ones that we worked with directly during the different stages of procedure. You are awesome, and we’ll be back soon!

KK, Raleigh, NC: It was a long and emotional road but everyone at Carolina Conceptions was so understanding and helpful. They treated us like family and we will never forget what they have done for us.
My husband and I are pleased to announce the long awaited birth of our daughter. We always knew we wanted to be parents so hearing that we would not be able to conceive naturally was very hard on us. We were directed to Carolina Conceptions and were lucky enough to have success with our first IVF treatment! We are so lucky and we appreciate Carolina Conceptions every day. Especially now, our heart and home is filled with baby giggles and squeals. It was a long and emotional road but everyone at Carolina Conceptions was so understanding and helpful. They treated us like family and we will never forget what they have done for us. We will look forward to visiting them again when we attempt to give our daughter a sibling!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have given us our family and we couldn’t ask for anything better!

J & M, New Bern, NC: Fertility unfortunately is not a guarantee for anyone, but there is no office I would rather be at for either outcome due to the experience I had at Carolina Conceptions. They will do everything they can to get you pregnant.
I can’t express the amount of gratitude I have for Carolina Conceptions doctors, nurses, and receptionists. This facility is top notch.
My husband and I went there when first starting to try for kids. I had a hunch I would have issues so someone recommended this office to us (my girlfriend also has had two successful pregnancies from this office). We live a couple hours away but thought we should at least get a consult and have some tests run. I was diagnosed with PCOS and Dr. Park said some fertility medicine should do the trick. Fertility is a commitment and requires a lot of visits, but we really liked the office and decided to give it a try even with the long commute.
I am glad we did. I have never seen an office run so smoothly. The thing I loved is they had early 7:30 am appointments. I never waited in the waiting room and, for the most part, could be in and out in 15 minutes. This was important to me because I could be back to work by 10:00 am. I was always able to see a doctor for my ultrasounds and they were always available for questions during this new emotional process. They also were accessible via email if I had questions I forgot to ask. I did see every doctor at Carolina Conceptions and each one is super easy to talk to and had no reservations with any of them.
With our first treatment we were fortunate that the medicine worked the first time. We were so excited. We were blessed with a sweet baby girl in 2010.
When we started trying for our second child I thought I would just use my regular OB and have them copy the same medicine and treatment I used with Carolina Conceptions. I went through three rounds and one miscarriage, and the treatment was just not the same. They wouldn’t follow the same protocol because they wanted to do things a certain way because that is how they practiced. They were more conservative in practice while Carolina Conceptions main goal is to get you pregnant, so that could mean changing things up a little bit if they saw things weren’t working. Even though this office was more local, I always had to wait so I still got back to work at 10:00 am. So finally I got fed up and started making my trips back to Carolina Conceptions. We tried 3 more rounds of fertility meds, one IUI, and finally bit the bullet and did IVF after a long conversation with Dr Park. The IVF was a success and we welcomed our sweet baby boy in 2012!
I know fertility assistance is very emotional and even more so for women who have been trying for years. Fertility unfortunately is not a guarantee for anyone, but there is no office I would rather be at for either outcome due to the experience I had at Carolina Conceptions. They will do everything they can to get you pregnant.
Fertility is a hard process and we just don’t think we are up for it again especially being so lucky to have two healthy kids. However, it has been hard leaving Carolina Conceptions to go back my regular OB office.
Thanks again to all the staff for your constant patience and commitment assisting us on our journey to this new and exciting life.

M & T, Durham, NC: We began working with Dr. Couchman in mid-January and after two rounds of oral medication and two rounds of injectibles, we were pregnant!
“We are so grateful to the doctors and staff at Carolina Conceptions for giving us a miracle I never thought would happen. The care and close attention to your needs is unmatched. We began working with Dr. Couchman in mid-January and after two rounds of oral medication and two rounds of injectibles, we were pregnant! I was told I had a low AMH and feared that our options were limited. I had been going to another fertility practice and the physician told me that if I didn’t get pregnant after 1-2 rounds of oral medication, that I should strongly consider IVF since my time was running out. Not one of the doctors at Carolina Conceptions seemed to think that my low egg count would be a barrier to our success. It gave me hope!
I was a particularly nervous patient after years of assuming we would never be able to conceive, but the doctors and nurses were always available to answer questions – always! It really put me at ease, which I truly believe helped with the success of treatment. I am so grateful for the patience and care of each and every provider I saw at the clinic – from the doctors to the nurses to the lab technicians. They all were completely dedicated to making sure you got what you came for – a baby! If we find ourselves in a similar situation when we are ready to try and conceive our second child, I know where we will be going! Thanks for everything!!”

C & B, Apex, NC: I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Meyer and the entire staff at Carolina Conceptions. The experience I had at Carolina Conceptions made one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through bearable.
“I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Meyer and the entire staff at Carolina Conceptions. I was referred to Dr. Meyer after 3 failed rounds of oral medicine. I was able to get in in such a short amount of time. Dr. Meyer was so warm and welcoming and answered my litany of questions patiently and thoroughly. He immediately scheduled me for more in depth testing, including getting my husband tested. By doing that, we discovered my husband had no sperm in his SA. We were able to catch it quickly, which saved us so much time and heartache. Dr. Meyer referred us to Dr. Shaban who was able to fix my husband’s issue and get us back on the road to conception.
After only 3 rounds of injections, one of those paired with IUI, we were able to get pregnant. Dr. Meyer was both cautious and aggressive in my care. He knew what my body could handle and didn’t want to push it. The monitoring was so thorough, I never felt like I was slipping through the cracks.
The entire staff is amazing. They never make you feel like just another patient. The front desk girls were always so warm and kind. And, on our “graduation day”, they were so happy and supportive of us. The lab techs were always so gentle with the blood draws and very prompt with the results. They know what agony waiting is for their patients. I was able to work with Dr. Couchman a few times and she was always so kind.
I would like to take a minute to give a special thank you to Kim Briley. Kim was so amazing, I’m not sure I could have made it through our treatments without her. She was always available by email to answer any question I had, no matter how small or seemingly ridiculous. She is warm and encouraging and funny. It was almost like emailing with a friend who happened to be a nurse. She was truly invaluable to this experience.
I appreciate how available everyone at Carolina Conceptions is. They are wonderful about responding to phone calls, and were always available by email. The experience I had at Carolina Conceptions made one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through bearable. I’ll always be forever grateful.

V & G, Wilmington, NC: After much research, we decided to meet with Dr. Park. Any reservations we had about leaving our old clinic completely evaporated after meeting him and the staff at Carolina Conceptions.
“My husband and I have journeyed with infertility for eight years. We are thankful to say that Carolina Conceptions has helped us end this journey, at last!
We began in 2004 with testing to determine why we had been unable to conceive on our own. We were diagnosed with male factor infertility and began looking at IVF clinics in the area. At the time, we lived in Durham and so we evaluated all the surrounding clinics and chose one. We underwent two unsuccessful cycles before finally conceiving our beautiful daughter, who was born in 2008.
We realized through our cycles, that I wasn’t responding well to several of the stimulation drugs. In general, I only produced 6-8 eggs per cycle which was roughly half of what they expected for a woman my age (33 yo). At that time we had several discussions with our fertility doctor about switching protocols or doing things differently, but they felt we could simply keep the same protocol and increase the dosage of some of our medicines. Ultimately, when we had our daughter we were content for several years.
Then, we began to long for another child. A sibling for our daughter, another unbelievable source of joy for us. We again returned to our old clinic. We failed a frozen embryo transfer and then miserably failed a fresh cycle. In fact this time, I had 6 large follicles going into retrieval only to end up with none at the end of the procedure. They guessed that I had something called empty follicle syndrome – a heartbreak that we do not wish upon anyone. After discussing with our doctor what we could do differently, we sadly realized that they planned to do nothing differently. At that point, we knew we had to look at another clinic. Surprisingly, this was a very difficult decision for us. After all, our old clinic had changed our lives by helping us have our daughter!
After much research, we decided to meet with Dr. Park. Any reservations we had about leaving our old clinic completely evaporated after meeting him and the staff at Carolina Conceptions. He was very well versed in the roadblocks we had encountered along the way and even had experience with couples with empty follicle syndrome. Leaving our consultation, we felt that something new and different, something cutting edge, would be tried. At 36 years old with five infertility cycles under our belt, we knew, really KNEW, this was our last attempt. We decided to put our hearts on the line and cycle again.
From the beginning, everything was different about this cycle. To begin with, we now live in Wilmington so all our monitoring was done remotely. We worried that the communication would suffer because of the distance, but that was not the case. Carolina Conceptions is very organized and stays in constant contact with you about the next step, labs etc. The nurses are incredibly friendly and kind and genuinely seem to care about you. Whenever we called, someone got back to us within one day – a BIG change from our old clinic. Dr. Park was amazing and answered all our emails right away.
At the end of our cycle, even with the new and definitely improved protocol, I only had 3 mature follicles. With her unbelievable skill, Dr. Couchman was able to retrieve all three for us. All three were mature, all three fertilized and all three made it to the blast stage. We have NEVER in all our cycles had that happen. We absolutely credit that to the protocol that maximized the quality of my eggs – and a little divine luck. We decided to put all three back and feel like the luckiest people in the world to be 14 weeks pregnant now! We know in our hearts we would not be here without the expertise and care of Carolina Conceptions – they made our dream of completing our family come true!”

L & J, Raleigh, NC: It is a total team effort in delivering excellent patient care at Carolina Conceptions and I think the positive environment contributed to our success.
“Carolina Conceptions is not just the best fertility clinic in all of North Carolina, but it is the best medical practice I have ever experienced. After 2 years of failed fertility treatments and a failed IVF cycle at another clinic, we came to Carolina Conceptions with hopes to make our dreams come true. It was a very long road filled with much disappointment and heartbreaking news. In March of 2012, we met with Dr. Park to explain our whole journey and he listened to everything—all our concerns and fears. He was so patient and kind to us and helped confirm our decision to use donor eggs to start our family. He explained the program and put us in contact with Michele, the donor coordinator. Michele is absolutely the best—she is everything someone who has been through fertility treatments without success needs. She is kind, caring, compassionate and just goes above and beyond for her patients. She held our hand through the entire process from helping us make the best decision on a donor to just being there for me through my anxiety and fear. We were just blown away by the outstanding communication and attention to detail Michele provides her patients. Not only were Dr. Park and Michele wonderful, it was just a different experience from the moment we walked in. The team at the front desk was beyond kind and so welcoming, the financial team was easy to work with and helped us with options for financial support. Amanda, the embryologist is wonderful and went above and beyond communicating with us while we were waiting fertilization results. It is a total team effort in delivering excellent patient care at Carolina Conceptions and I think the positive environment contributed to our success. It was the best day of our lives when we got the call from Dr. Park with our positive test results and then again each time we had an ultrasound and got to see the heartbeat. A dream come true that I believe could have only been achieved at Carolina Conceptions. ”

J & E, Indiana: My husband and I came to Carolina Conceptions hoping they could help us become pregnant through a gestational carrier. Although our case was somewhat unique in a fertility office, CC was equipped with a protocol already in place.
“Carolina Conceptions and Dr. Grace Couchman specifically is an extremely positive, capable, and sensitive practice and physician. My husband and I came to CC hoping they could help us become pregnant through a gestational carrier. Although our case was somewhat unique in a fertility office, CC was equipped with a protocol already in place. Although the process for a ‘fresh’ transfer of embryos into a gestational carrier takes very deliberate planning and monitoring, they made the process feel simple and straight forward. Our carrier, her spouse, my husband and I were all treated as a whole, all committed to the same special goal. We were extremely impressed with the accessibility to Dr. Couchman. She is the only physician I know who gives out her direct email… and responds very promptly to any and all questions and concerns. We are very happy to announce the arrival of our healthy baby boy, William just a mere 36 weeks after our transfer. It was an amazing process to watch our son grow from a microscopic embryo to a 8lb 22″ long baby and we couldn’t have ask for a better practice to make this miracle possible. We are forever indebted.”

VW, Cary, NC: After years of trying to conceive and being diagnosed with unexplained amenorrhea and anovulation, I was referred to Carolina Conceptions by my OB/GYN (who was not hopeful that we'd be able to conceive).
“After years of trying to conceive and being diagnosed with unexplained amenorrhea and anovulation, I was referred to Carolina Conceptions by my OB/GYN (who was not hopeful that we’d be able to conceive) . My husband and I were on the verge of giving up, but decided to go ahead and schedule an appointment for a consultation. We met with Dr. Meyer and immediately felt that we were meant to be there. Dr. Meyer had studied my medical records prior to our first visit was very reassuring and spent lots of time answering our questions. We decided on a treatment plan and started immediately. Our first attempt did not produce very promising results. Throughout that process we also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Park and Dr. Couchman. My husband and I decided to keep trying because of the positive attitude and encouragement we received from all three doctors in the practice. Our second attempt went much better, but apparently didn’t result in a pregnancy. My husband and I decided that we’d try one more time. We had to wait for some cysts on my ovaries to resolve prior to beginning the process. Upon going in to check on the cysts we discovered that we were PREGNANT!!! We are now the proud parents of a happy, healthy 6 month old and could not be happier! Parenthood has been the best thing that has ever happened to us and if we hadn’t gone in for that first consultation with Dr. Meyer we’d never know the amazing joy and love we know today.”

B & K, Angier, NC: Infertility is a very emotional journey, but everyone at Carolina Conceptions made our personal journey feel less trying and overwhelming, and more relaxed and certain that we would one day conceive with their help.
“After 3 years of trying to conceive, my husband and I were sent to see Dr. Park at Carolina Conceptions in July of 2011. After having a Laparoscopy he diagnosed and removed my endometriosis, which is what was believed to be causing the infertility. Each appointment after that I got to see the other doctors as well and they were just as thorough, informative, and caring as Dr. Park. At no time did my husband and I feel like we were being rushed into any decision or like we were encouraged to jump straight into the more expensive options. It was always our choice and we were encouraged to move forward as we felt comfortable. We tried different options but finally ended up doing IVF in April of 2012 which resulted in our first pregnancy! We are currently 8 weeks pregnant and have graduated to an OB. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at Carolina Conceptions. Even the ladies at the front desk were always smiling and super nice. At every appointment I was taken right on back and never had to sit and wait for a long time. My husband and I felt like we were always supported, treated with respect and with the utmost care, not like we were just another patient. Even though we are thrilled to be seeing an OB, we will miss the doctors and staff at Carolina Conceptions. Infertility is a very emotional journey, but everyone at Carolina Conceptions made our personal journey feel less trying and overwhelming, and more relaxed and certain that we would one day conceive with their help. We are forever grateful to Dr. Park, Dr. Meyer, and all the staff at Carolina Conceptions.”

JA: Anyone that has gone through fertility treatment knows how emotionally and physically taxing it can be—and I felt fully supported by Dr. Meyer and the staff at Carolina Conceptions.
“I tried three years to get pregnant on my own before I sought the help from a specialist. I spent a year at another fertility clinic in the Triangle area, and after months of treatment they diagnosed me with unexplained infertility and told me IVF was my only option. I decided to try Dr. Meyer for a second opinion. I couldn’t be happier with that decision! After receiving a proper diagnosis, we created a game plan. After four and a half years of trying to conceive, I became pregnant with the first treatment—amazing. Our little boy is now 16 weeks old and we couldn’t be happier. Dr. Meyer is a miracle worker and the staff is terrific. They are super responsive and gave me 100% attention until my questions were answered. Anyone that has gone through fertility treatment knows how emotionally and physically taxing it can be—and I felt fully supported by Dr. Meyer and the staff at Carolina Conceptions.”
JW: We also appreciated the fact that we were treated respectfully, the visit was not rushed, and we were not encouraged to spend a lot of money for procedures that would likely not be successful.
“My husband and I wanted to thank Dr. Park for our consultation on Wednesday. We appreciate him sharing his knowledge and honest opinions with us so that we could make an informed decision. We also appreciated the fact that we were treated respectfully, the visit was not rushed, and we were not encouraged to spend a lot of money for procedures that would likely not be successful. We found him personally to be friendly, courteous and professional.
Again, we thank you for your time and assistance.”
“Dr. Couchman and Dr. Park,
We had such a wonderful experience with Carolina Conceptions and I truly appreciate your kindness and patience. It was a long and rocky road having gone through 3 IUIs, but it was all worth it.
Thanks to you, we welcomed a little girl into our family. She is absolutely perfect, and we are enjoying every minute with her.
Thank you for everything!! We may see you in the future for baby #2.”
BJ: All the staff at Carolina Conceptions have been rooting for us and its feels good when they are just as happy for you as you are for yourself.
“My husband and I have been battling infertility for eight years. In 2007 we were referred to Carolina conceptions by my obgyn. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility so Dr. Couchman suggested we try iui so we did. Our first round of iui and we were pregnant but it ended in what most would call a chemical pregnancy either way it was still devastating. So we decided to take some time off because we had to pay for everything out of pocket. In 2008 we tried iui again and it failed and physically we were worn out so we took two years off from trying to get ourselves right.
In 2010, we decided to do one more iui (in January) and we thought that it had failed again. In February I woke up in horrible pain on the 23rd and had my husband take me to the ER where we found out we were pregnant (but also that we were pregnant with twins) but one was in my left tube and one in my right tube and they both had heartbeats but my tubes were about to rupture. So they had to go in and do emergency surgery and took both my tubes so the only way we could get pregnant now was through IVF which was going to be hard to come up with the money.
Now it’s 2011 and my husband’s parents gave us the money to do IVF and we were also approved for the compassionate care program which covered all my meds. July came and we did our egg retrieval and they got 5 eggs (4 were mature and 2 fertilized) but that was ok because we were going to put two in so they were eight celled and seven celled. The day of transfer came and everything went great. The hardest part was the two week wait and when it finally came we found out we were PREGNANT!!!!!!!!! This was great-we were so excited two day later, we went back to make sure numbers were doubling-they were. Then you wait again for your first ultrasound to find out how many you are having. The day finally came and we saw one tiny bean with the flicker of the heartbeat that was one of the best days of our lives. We had to go back in a week to make sure all was growing good and to be released to my obgyn. The next appointment came and still one baby strong heartbeat growing just right so we were released to our obgyn.
We are currently 10 wks pregnant and last week we had our first ob appointment and got to hear the heartbeat. Without Dr. Couchman, Dr. Meyer and Dr. Park this wouldn’t be possible. We are so grateful for everything they have done for us to make our dream of being parents come true. All the staff at Carolina Conceptions have been rooting for us and its feels good when they are just as happy for you as you are for yourself. Thank you again for everything-I already tell anyone who is dealing with infertility to go to Carolina Conceptions because they were our blessing in disguise. We are now going to be parents for the first time and we just want you all to know that we enjoyed our journey with y’all and you never know…maybe we will do it again one day. Thank you again.”
“Dr. Couchman, just wanted you to know that we had a very healthy baby boy. He is just perfect! I don’t think the words ‘thank you’ begin to even express
all our gratitude for CC’s help. Hope to see you again in the next few years for our frozen cycle.”
TW, Pittsboro, NC: In the end I surpassed the amount of weight I had to lose for the procedure, and now a little over a year later, I just spent my first mothers day with my two beautiful twin boys.
“Let me begin by saying how happy my husband and I were with Carolina Conceptions. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the doctors were understanding and caring.
When we first arrived at CC and it was determined that IVF was going to be our best chance at pregnancy, I was informed that I would need to lose about 40 lbs in order to undergo the transfer procedure. I have always been overweight (despite many diets over the years I had been unable to ever lose a significant amount) and hearing this from Dr. Couchman at first sounded like the door slamming shut on my dream to have a family. She encouraged me and offered some advice on how to go about the weight loss, but in the car outside the office I broke down in tears. Over the next few days I decided to try her advice (lots of exercise and following a low carb diet) and found that I was able to lose the weight more easily that I would have ever dreamed. It was still hard, however, I had a wonderful goal that I was working toward.
In the end I surpassed the amount of weight I had to lose for the procedure, and now a little over a year later, I just spent my first mothers day with my two beautiful twin boys.
Thank you Carolina Conceptions for making our dreams of a family come true!”

DH, Wake Forest, NC: Dr. Park went above and beyond what was professionally required of him in order to help me and my husband to become pregnant.
“After 15 years of not being able to conceive, my gynecologist referred me to Dr. Park. I was skeptical because no one had been able to help me and my husband so far. But after meeting with Dr. Park, we were willing to give it one more try. Dr. Park was kind, sincere, compassionate and approached infertility with such professionalism and determination that I felt completely comfortable with him and his suggestions.
Because of our situation, we elected IVF. The first cycle was canceled but we became pregnant on the second cycle. Dr. Park went above and beyond what was professionally required of him in order to help me and my husband to become pregnant.
We are forever grateful to the entire staff of Carolina Conceptions (all the doctors, nurses and admin staff are awesome) and especially to Dr. Park who made me feel comfortable and relaxed enough to trust him to do all that he knew how to do to help us get pregnant.
Our son is 2.5 months old; he was born in February after a 38 week, uneventful (problem-free) pregnancy.
Thanks again Carolina Conceptions and please continue making couples dreams of parenthood come true.”
DH, Wake Forest
(Note to a Carolina Conceptions Staff Member) “First off I want to thank you for being my wife’s “safety blanket” through all of this…I can’t tell you how much you meant to her! We are the type of people who like to have personal comfort when experiencing big moments we know nothing about, and you were such a relaxing comfort through the whole process, which I am sure you knew from all of my wife’s talks with you. Because God knows I had no clue about what was happening and I hate being helpless like that. I sincerely believe this experience was much more enjoyable for us and I truly believe we grew closer in our relationship. I know you heard all the appreciation from her, but from the man side THANK YOU!!”
K & D: Our little girls were conceived as a direct result of embryo donation. My husband I consider it to be like traditional adoption, just nine months earlier.
“Our journey to add to our family has not been easy but has become a reality through embryo donation/adoption. Despite IVF and even egg donation, we found ourselves still without little feet running through our home. We even lost our dearly loved, infant son due to genetic issues of which we had no awareness before his conception.
However, due to the kindness of people who we don’t even know, but who shared the same desire as us to be parents and walked a similar path of infertility, we are now expecting twins. Our little girls were conceived as a direct result of embryo donation. My husband I consider it to be like traditional adoption, just nine months earlier. We are so thankful to the donating family and recognize that they literally have made our dreams come true.
Any patient who has experienced the IVF process knows how precious those embryos are. I urge anyone who has completed their family and has remaining embryos to consider embryo donation/adoption. A donating family is giving the gift of life to those precious embryos and allowing another family to fulfill their dreams. There really has been no downside for us—just blessings.”

C & A, Raleigh, NC: Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to be parents and giving us hope when he had none left. I thank God for you and for the whole staff at CC.
“Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to be parents and giving us hope when he had none left. I thank God for you and for the whole staff at CC. It is our prayer that God may continue to bless you all as you make a difference in a lot of peoples lives like you did ours.
I tell everyone about you and your office. I work at [a medical office], and I share our experince at your office with patients, and I have never hesitated to tell them how great you are. I give your office contacts to anyone that mentions to me about their fertility problems. In fact, I have two close friends that are under your care I recommended to you.
There is so much that I can say, but words cannot explain the utmost gratitude that we have to you and your staff. Thank you again and we will stop by later this spring so you can meet our little man. God Bless you!

K & C: We would travel across the country for CC but we are lucky to have them a few mins from home!
“My husband and I went for our second round of IVF at CC this past fall. We have a 22 month old daughter that we conceived at CC after a frozen transfer so we have had plenty of experience with all of the staff at CC. I cannot say enough positive things about the doctors, nurses, embryologist, ultrasonographers and the entire team. Dr. Meyer is always available on email (and he will answer any question, no matter how ridiculous! – as i figured out from experience. It is very comforting to know that if you are in a panic (which will happen while going through this process) your doctor is available to answer your question without having to jump through hoops. I expected this time to be much calmer about the process and not have any “freakout” moments… not the case. Every step felt just as critical as the first time and the frozen transfer.
The IVF nurse, Meghan makes you feel comfortable and relaxed and you honestly feel like her only patient from the classes to the retrieval and transfer. She did everything to schedule my classes (i had to take 2), appointments around my work and travel schedule. She even called me one day to walk through a hypothetical schedule to ease my mind that it would all workout. Heather, the genius embryologist is so much fun to be around you forget what a stressful situation the whole process is. She remembers all of her patients and geniunely is concerned about their success.
I started my medications and after not responding as hoped after 5 days of (expensive) injections Dr. Couchman called me personally to recommend stopping the medications, canceling this cycle and starting over at the risk of having a less than desirable outcome. She was convinced that we could “do better” and she didn’t feel comfortable with me wasting anymore time or money on medications and a retrieval when the situation is not ideal. I was having a ”freakout” moment because of my schedule with work and i was mentally prepared to be moving forward. She assured me that they would work around my schedule if at all possible. She was very honest and optimistic about starting fresh. So that is what we did and we tried a completely different regimen with different medications and wow, my response was better than 3 yrs ago! now i am 14 wks pregnant with twins and so far so good! My husband and I both always wanted 3 children but three years ago we gave up on that plan. I can’t believe we are in this position. thanks to the team at CC we have more excitement than we ever thought was possible. We would travel across the country for CC but we are lucky to have them a few mins from home!”

Letter from a referring physician: Dr. Park, My patients were very appreciative of you and said you had a terrific manner about you, which I knew they would.
Letter from a referring physician:
My patients were very appreciative of you and said you had a terrific manner about you, which I knew they would. I thought it especially noteworthy that the patients wanted me to inform you of their miscarriage, only because they thought you would care. In my experience patients don’t always have that impression about doctors. I think you made a genuine impression on them. Also, I really appreciated the phone call you made to our office, as well. That kind of personal touch is definitely not the rule.
Thank you again for your excellent service to these patients. Despite their loss, they regard you fondly.
R & T, Cary, NC: Our sincere thanks and love go out to you all who helped us get to this point - and here's to much success for all your other patients who are hoping to get pregnant just like we were a few months ago!
“Just wanted to give you a quick pregnancy update and let you know all is going well so far! I am now 12 weeks & 4 days, and hoping the morning sickness, which is all day sickness really, will be winding down soon. Other than that, it’s been wonderful so far – little Baby B. is growing like a weed, and I just saw him/her again this morning on an ultrasound, moving around, waving arms and legs and even sucking his/her thumb. SO amazing!!! All my blood tests have been perfect, and the NT scan & 1st trimester screening were completely normal. My due date is April 21, 2011, and not sure how many updates I’ll be sending you guys between now and then, but I am hoping for another 6 months of successfully being pregnant (hey, just BEING pregnant is a huge accomplishment for us!!) and a healthy little baby at the end of it all.
Our sincere thanks and love go out to you all who helped us get to this point – and here’s to much success for all your other patients who are hoping to get pregnant just like we were a few months ago! It’s a long and emotional road for anyone who has to travel it, but well worth it in the end.”

E & D, Chapel Hill, NC: Dr. Meyer was very supportive throughout the whole process. He would personally call with test results and even said he wore his lucky underwear for us. We interacted with Dr. Meyer, Couchman and Park and feel they are all great and make a good team.
“Like others, I was afraid to write for fear of jinxing the outcome. After conceiving our son so easily, we were surprised to find ourselves struggling for a second baby. Due to my ‘advance maternal age’ I wanted to be proactive. We looked at another clinic in the area but it felt very cold and clinical. When we went to Carolina Conceptions, just in the waiting room you could feel the difference. The staff is very personable and reassuring. Dr. Meyer was very supportive throughout the whole process. He would personally call with test results and even said he wore his lucky underwear for us. We interacted with Dr. Meyer, Couchman and Park and feel they are all great and make a good team.
In the end our dream of a second baby came true. We now have the most beautiful baby girl in the world. I would and have recommended Carolina Conceptions to others. Even if we had not been successful we still would recommend Carolina Conceptions.”

North Carolina: No matter what happens with this pregnancy, we will always have good thoughts about you and everyone we met at your practice.
“Dr. Park, my husband and I would like to thank you for everything that you have done for us these last few months. We felt very comfortable and reassured with you and your advice from the very beginning and appreciate all the time you spent with us. I especially want to thank you for all your responses to my emails, it was nice to know that if I had questions or freak outs that you would give me the information or reassurance I needed to calm down and move forward. You have a personality and professional manner that I think is very beneficial to your practice and patients. I could go on but I think you get the point and there will never be enough words to tell you how appreciative we are for your help, encouragement and expertise. No matter what happens with this pregnancy, we will always have good thoughts about you and everyone we met at your practice.”
Raleigh, NC: I pinch myself every morning as I begin my day with our most precious gift: a sweet, healthy, active, babbling baby girl. We are grateful every second of the day for this wonderful experience of parenthood.
“Our daughter is now 7 months old and it has taken me this long to find the right words to thank Carolina Conceptions for all they have helped us achieve. I wanted to write a testimonial immediately after getting the positive pregnancy test, but didn’t want to “jinx” things. I wanted to write and say thanks when we reached the halfway mark of our pregnancy, but I still felt so afraid that it was all too good to be true. I wanted to express our gratitude after our daughter was born, but the words wouldn’t come to me even then. I pinch myself every morning as I begin my day with our most precious gift: a sweet, healthy, active, babbling baby girl. We are grateful every second of the day for this wonderful experience of parenthood. After several years of trying to start our family, we got pregnant after our first round of IVF with Carolina Conceptions. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us achieve the greatest joy of our life.”
JS, Africa: My husband and I are back in Africa and will not stop referring every hopeful mother to Carolina Conceptions.
“My husband and I are short of words and have for months been searching for the right words to use in describing our experience in Carolina Conception. Like I simply told a friend, “its the only place to go” not because we have recently been blessed with a bouncing baby boy at first trial but simply because of the atmosphere there, the full of faith, motherly and confident Dr Grace Couchman who despite our inner fears made us feel like the whole procedure was like a walk in the park, not to mention ever cheerful nurses and the always ready to listen and confident Dr Meyer and Dr Park.
I remember when we came out of the scan room were we confirmed I was pregnant, the nurses in eagerness asked how many? Like they were sure before hand that it was positive.
My husband and I are back in Africa and will not stop referring every hopeful mother to Carolina Conceptions.”
Raleigh, NC: Thank you again for everything, both the medical support and the caring experience. We are filled with excitement about our future, and gratitude about how we got this far.
“Dr. Park, I’ve been wanting to write to you for weeks, since we first had a positive pregnancy test, but was afraid of “jinxing” things until we had a good U/S and knew for sure things looked good. But we are THRILLED, and so very grateful to you and your colleagues for everything you have done for us. Our entire experience with Carolina Conceptions has been amazing – so supportive and friendly and easy. From the first time we met, you made me feel so at ease, and you reassured us at times when I had little confidence that we could get pregnant. And on the first IVF try! Wow. You have been so patient with me and all my questions, and I am so grateful for that. You really made me feel comfortable, and made a scary and intimidating process much less so. You have an amazing “bedside manner” and a wonderful communication style. And, of course, we are grateful to you for your expertise during my retrieval.
Since that time, Dr. Meyer has been terrific, from the transfer through both our ultrasounds (though I think my notebook of questions scared him a bit more than it did you!). The nurses and staff have also been so friendly and caring and competent – it truly was the most nurturing medical environment I have ever been in. It made me so sad to leave you all today, feeling like I have to leave this protective cocoon where I have an entire team of wonderful people rooting me on. And of course, we cannot say enough about Michelle, our embryologist, who created our baby and took good care of our little embryos for their first few days. She is like our angel!
We will certainly keep in touch, and hope very much to have some wonderful news to share with you in late September!
Thank you again for everything, both the medical support and the caring experience. We are filled with excitement about our future, and gratitude about how we got this far.”
RK: We had visited other clinics. . . Carolina Conceptions was different and was concerned with informing us and allowing us to direct treatment.
“My wife and I, after years of trying, had considered that childbirth was probably beyond us. We decided to continue trying and got involved with Carolina Conceptions. All the issues we wrestled with a year ago seem surreal and distant because our baby’s now a week old. This has been a wonderful experience for my family.
We had visited other clinics and most providers seemed more interested in our compliance with their own marketing and educational programs than with any particular concern for my family. Carolina Conceptions was different and was concerned with informing us and allowing us to direct treatment. When it came to treating our family as their primary concern, Carolina Conceptions stood alone. I use to wish there were thousands of clinics like Carolina Conceptions because the people and facilities are top notch, but I overestimated because we really only needed one.
It is with humble appreciation that I consider how Dr. Couchman, Dr Meyers and Dr. Parks contributed to our family’s growth. They exude confidence and professionalism with talented experts who are aware of their capabilities. I could go on, but time is precious when the baby’s fallen asleep. I don’t remember what exactly I was worried about a year ago because my ideas have been wiped away by a strong sense of what’s important, and he’s sleeping now.”
K & V: After a decade of treatments and having worked with all the fertility centers in the NC area, we owe our miracle to Dr. Grace Couchman and her absolutely wonderful dedicated team at Carolina Conceptions.
“After a decade of treatments and having worked with all the fertility centers in the NC area, we owe our miracle to Dr. Grace Couchman and her absolutely wonderful dedicated team at Carolina Conceptions. Not only is Carolina Conceptions superb on the technology side but what makes them the BEST in our hearts and minds and sets them apart from all the rest is their genuine compassion. It took a couple of years but no one gave up on us and the entire team was always positive offering hope at every turn. Unlike the other clinics, there was very little waiting during the morning clinic hours which means a lot to those of us having to fit in the treatments while carrying a full time job. Our little boy was born in Dec-09 and we can’t thank Dr. Couchman enough for not giving up on us and making our dream come true!”
Karen & Kevin: We can't repeat it enough, but we are so thankful for Carolina Conceptions allowing us to make our dream of a family become a reality... the tagline for CC is perfect!
“We can’t repeat it enough, but we are so thankful for Carolina Conceptions allowing us to make our dream of a family become a reality… the tagline for CC is perfect! After being frustrated for some time at not being able to conceive, and after being referred to (along with other high recommendations) CC, we came to see Dr Meyer – cautiously optimistic.
We were blown away from day 1… by the comfort of the office, by the warmth of the entire staff, and the competence and confidence of the doctors. Dr Meyer, Dr Couchman, and Dr Park all played significant roles as we journeyed through to the day we got “the call” telling us “Congratulations, You’re pregnant!” Such an amazing feeling that words can’t describe, and even more amazing now that our son has arrived and is a wonderful and healthy 5 week old!! … We could go on for days, eventually just running out of positive adjectives for everyone at CC. It was – quite ironically – very difficult to “graduate” to the regular OB simply due to the comfort and confidence we felt at CC.
Simply put, The Drs and the entire staff at Carolina Conceptions are a dream team helping family dreams come true. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU”

T & G, Wilmington, NC: After a long year and a half of infertility testing and exhausting treatments, my husband and I are finally expecting...twins!
“As 2010 begins my husband and I have a great deal to be thankful for. After a long year and a half of infertility testing and exhausting treatments, my husband and I are finally expecting…twins! For what felt like an eternity, I truly believed I would never know the joy of having a baby. I had resolved myself to the idea that perhaps it just wasn’t in the cards for me. When my husband and I finally decided to give IVF a try as a “last resort” I just knew like everything else it wouldn’t work. At my first consultation with Dr. Couchman I felt encouraged and hopeful and most of all I felt like she was committed to making this work for us. Not only was she proactive, she was organized and efficient and everything she was planning for our treatment was specific to me and not just a general protocol. I spent a lot of treatments prior to coming to Carolina Conceptions that I simply felt part of a trial process and “let’s see what might work” approach, this was not the case with Dr. Couchman. Something my husband and I will remember specifically is ANY time we had questions we could email Dr. Couchman or any of the nurses and they got back to us right away, Dr. Couchman even emailed us back within an hour on a Sunday. We couldn’t believe how committed everyone was to making us feel comfortable and informed and it was nice to know we had doctors that cared. After our retrieval and transfer (done by Dr. Park) it was again Dr. Park who did our first sonogram when we saw those two beautiul heartbeats. Words cannot express the level of gratitude my husband and I will always have to Dr. Park for the part he has played in making our life long dream come true. We will forever be thankful to you Dr. Park and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way than to have you be the one to show us the heartbeats. Everyone in the Carolina Conceptions office was wonderful to us, I cannot begin to count the number of emails and phone calls Tracy sent back and forth to my husband and I as we went through the IVF process. Tracy was our personal cheerleader the whole time and answered every question this very nervous patient had, she was calming and supportive and she never passed any judgments. And when the news finally came that we were in fact expecting it felt like everyone at the CC office was genuinely happy for us. It’s hard to believe that we are now preparing for our twins arrival. I would recommend Carolina Conceptions to anyone, especially those who need the support and encouragment necessary to continue going through the very difficult journey of infertility. Thanks again to everyone at CC! ”

Anonymous egg donor: I just wanted to take a second to thank you and Dr. Meyer for helping me feel so comfortable during the donor process.
“I just wanted to take a second to thank you and Dr. Meyer for helping me feel so comfortable during the donor process. I was very nervous at first about the process and the outcome, but you guys made me feel so at ease the whole time and I genuinely appreciate it.
I am very hopeful for the recipents and I’m really rooting for them. Some of the best parents I know had to go through IVF and I’m sure that these two people will be no exception. I hope all of their dreams are realized and they have the baby (or babies!) of their dreams!
I’d love to go through this process again, should the need ever arise for another couple. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if I can help again…of course, not until this bloated feeling goes away!
Thanks again, so much!”

K & M: I must admit that prior to my first visit with you I was convinced that I was broken. That my “parts” didn’t work.
I wish I could find the right words to describe the feelings my husband and I had when our home pregnancy test showed a plus sign. Joy or excitement just doesn’t seem powerful enough. After fourteen frustrating months of trying you were able to get us pregnant after two short months!
I must admit that prior to my first visit with you I was convinced that I was broken. That my “parts” didn’t work. During our first consultation you were so informative, optimistic and encouraging that my husband and I left there knowing that you would make it happen one way or another! Our doubts started to fade and we became confident in our baby making abilities. We are now expecting our first born in July of 2010! We truly are grateful for everything you did and we have already started recommending you to others. Thank you so much!
During our very quick process we ordered the “male prenatal” vitamin from Coast Reproductive. Since they only allow you to purchase a three month supply, we have extra. If anyone is interested in purchasing this product we would like to offer it to you at a substantial discount and no shipping! Please let the staff at Carolina Conceptions know and they will contact us. Good luck!”
J & L, Apex, NC: After 1 month of treatment we had the results we had been waiting for without having to go through IUI or IVF treatment.

we have taken to get here. I’m so grateful that my doctor referred us to
Carolina Conceptions. We had the most wonderful experience there. Through
our journey we were able to meet and work with Dr. Meyers, Dr. Couchman
and Dr. Park. Each one was helpful, caring and supportive. We are now
planning to visit Carolina Conceptions again to hopefully make Connor a big
brother. I have recommended Carolina Conceptions to many of my co-workers
and friends. Thank you to everyone at Carolina Conceptions for helping us
along our journey and hopefully we will be seeing you again, soon.”

A & B: Dr. Shaban and all of the doctors at Carolina Conceptions helped make the impossible possible.
“Thank you Carolina Conceptions!
My husband and I are thrilled to be expecting identical twin boys by the end of this month! Our journey began when after 3 years of marriage we tried to conceive on our own. After one year of trying and no success, we went through basic infertility testing last summer. I was not ovulating on a regular monthly basis, and an even bigger surprise was that my husband was diagnosed with azoospermia. We were devastated and felt that this was likely the “end of the road” in our journey to conceive.
However, Dr. Shaban and all of the doctors at Carolina Conceptions helped make the impossible possible. After a testicular biopsy in December revealed a small amount of sperm, our hope was renewed. I underwent IVF with ICSI in February and found out we were pregnant on March 4th! This is the “condensed form” of our journey but it reminds me of the heartaches and hopes with each test and procedure that we went through.
My heart goes out to other couples who are going through the infertility journey right now. My advice to you is to not give up hope and try your hardest to stay positive. Our prayers were answered and now my husband and I pray for all of you who may be reading these testimonials looking for hope.”

E & S, Wake Forest, NC: Not even one million internet searches, could match the hope and comfort Dr. Couchman provided during our initial visit.
“It is 4 a.m. – I am missing my “straight eight” I so fondly remember as I quietly tip-toe down the hall. In the opinion of so many- sleep experts, pediatricians, parents, non-parents, family, friends, neighbor down the street ….and quite possibly myself, my nine month old son is most definitely NOT hungry…but I don’t mind…
In the dim light of the nightlight, the outline of his face and little hands reminds me of the grainy ultrasound pictures from my last trimester. In my sleepy haze I think back to a time that SEEMS so long ago, but in reality, no that long ago. Following a second miscarriage in less than a year, my husband and I were presented with hysteroscopic pictures of something “not normal, definitely needs to be fixed” and advised not to have children until we sought the advice of a specialist. My OBGYN handed me the card of a specialist that had opened a new practice just across the street. While a practice “just across the street” seemed very convenient, we were completely blind-sighted with an overwhelming decision. In the weeks prior to our initial consultation at Carolina Conceptions, I scoured the internet looking for information, support from others, advice and the names of “good doctors” from local to the west coast.
The day of our initial consultation, I came with my notes in hand for our “interview” of Dr. Couchman, to see whether this “good doctor” could really be located so close? Not even one million internet searches, could match the hope and comfort Dr. Couchman provided during our initial visit. An ultrasound during the same appointment confirmed two possible diagnoses- a uterine septum or bicornuate uterus. In the moment she assured my husband, that a baby would be possible, the inexplicable sadness we had been feeling was replaced by hope. A little over a month later, my surgery with Dr. Couchman was quickly scheduled after an initial HSG followed by an MRI to confirm the presence of a “remarkably” wide septum, which prevented my previous pregnancies from reaching past 10 weeks. The most discomfort from the procedure, in my case, was slight cramping and a sore throat from the breathing tube put in place, in case laparoscopy was needed. With the help of ibuprofen, I was back at work within 24 hours. We got pregnant with our little boy on our “3rd try”…just like the previous 2 pregnancies.
Not before I lay Tyler back in his crib, I pray for couples so desperately hoping, waiting….choking back a lump in your throat after the one millionth time of “so when are YOU going to have a baby?” Having a baby is not merely a choice we made, but a true blessing from above….made possible, in part, by gifted individuals like Dr. Couchman strategically placed in our paths.”

A & O: I would like to start off by saying that a true doctor is recognized from the quality of his work, staff and most of all interactions with his/her patients.
“I would like to start off by saying that a true doctor is recognized from the quality of his work, staff and most of all interactions with his/her patients.
Thanks to a commercial one day which led my husband and I to Carolina Conceptions. Little did we know that this would be the beginning of the end of my four years of unexplained fertility and intensive treatments.
After undergoing a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, 5 failed IVF’s, 1 failed FET, many stopped IVF cycles and 3 failed IUI’s at another clinic we are now blessed with two 3 month old healthy twins and all thanks to Dr. Meyer and his caring staff. At Carolina Conceptions I was able to get pregnant by doing a stimulated IUI, which this procedure had never been mentioned to me at my previous clinic.
On our first meeting with Dr. Meyer we were so pleased that a doctor cared enough about his patients and his work to spend an hour going through our charts and previous procedures. Coming from our previous clinic where we had been going to for four years and were never able to sit down with the doctor for more than 15 minutes and better yet receive clear answers to our questions. After hitting rock bottom emotionally we came out of our first meeting at Carolina Conceptions with the hope that we still had a chance to become parents one day.
I would like to say that as a patient at Carolina Conceptions you are not intimidated to ask a question or to call/email the practice and know that you will be answered immediately. How many doctors give you their personal email and send holiday cards following up with their patients? Dr. Meyer does! So with all the procedures behind us we wake up every day and are so thankful that we were blessed to be in the hands of the doctors and staff at Carolina Conceptions. Thanks to Dr. Meyer and his team we are the proud parents of a healthy baby boy and girl.
So my advice to anyone reading this testimonial, please do not give up hope and pay Carolina Conceptions a visit. You will immediately see the difference from other clinics. A comfort ing environment is very critical in the stressful process of infertility.”

Carthage, NC: I have been tempted to write you a note many times expressing my thanks for all you did for us...
I have been tempted to write you a note many times expressing my thanks for all you did for us but, since it wouldn’t have been the kind to put up on the bulletin board, I guess I hesitated. Even though our fertility treatment didn’t turn out the way we had hoped, you and your staff were as caring and thoughtful as possible. Our journey to becoming parents has definitely not been a straight road but, if it had been, I wouldn’t have had the benefit of meeting you and all the wonderful staff at Carolina Conceptions. I hope all is well with you and your family and wish you continued success. Thanks again.”
