Meet Our Team

Dr. Bill Meyer

Dr. Meyer grew up in Virginia, attended Washington and Lee University then received his M.D. from the University of Virginia in 1983. He completed an OB/GYN residency at Emory University, then went to Yale University Hospital where he completed advanced training in a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship in 1990. He is board certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and he has served on the board certification committee as an examiner. He is on the editorial staff of the academic journal Fertility and Sterility. He has been voted as one of the “Best Doctors in America ” from 2003-2009. He served for several years on the credentialing committee of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART)—the only national standard database for reproductive medicine practitioners.

Before co-founding Carolina Conceptions in 2006, he served as director of University of North Carolina’s IVF Program. He was on faculty at UNC for 13 years. He founded and headed the UNC Assisted Reproductive Technologies Ethics Committee. He has special interest and clinical expertise in: in vitro fertilization (IVF), ovulation induction, endometriosis, therapeutic donor insemination, uterine fibroids, and hysteroscopy.
