Redbook financial columnist, television personality and author, Nicole Lapin, recently shared her egg freezing experience with ABC News.
Lapin explained to ABC News that she “felt her biological clock ticking when she turned 30,” but was not yet ready to have children. She felt sharing a video diary of her experience would help “empower and inspire other women to take charge of their fertility.”
“I want to be married and I want to have kids on my own,” Lapin continued. “But it (egg freezing) gives me the most options possible for when I do want to become a mother.”
Carolina Conceptions of Raleigh performs egg freezing for women with cancer and for many other women who are interested in preserving their future fertility. “We are seeing more and more women who are interested in freezing their eggs to take charge of their future fertility options,” shared Dr. Grace Couchman, co-founding partner of Carolina Conceptions. Dr. Couchman encourages women to watch Nicole Lapin’s video diary about her personal egg freezing experience to learn more about the process and what to expect.
