Positive Options for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

PCOS affects 1 in 10 women.  It is a leading cause of infertility and a risk factor for obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.  Women affected experience irregular menses, acne, and unwanted hair growth.   Losing weight can be a challenge, often due to underlying insulin resistance.

Lifestyle changes are the first step in managing PCOS, and new research points to the benefits of targeted nutritional supplementation.

Pam Schoenfeld, (Nutritionist/Dietitian, MS, RD, LDN) with Women and Family Nutrition LLC, will join Dr. Bill Meyer in presenting an overview of PCOS and evidence-based dietary therapies that can help you manage your PCOS and reduce the need for medications.  Pam will discuss low-carb vs. other types of diets, beneficial exercise programs, and vitamins and minerals that are important for women with PCOS.  Our Theralogix (vitamins and nutritional supplements) representative will also be joining us and providing a spread of healthy foods to enjoy.

Bring your questions or submit them in advance to Pam via email.

Space is limited. Please RSVP to our event by Wednesday, July 12 via email.
